The symbol ♣ indicates that your webmaster has first-hand onboard knowledge, perhaps as crew or instructor, of a particular person's professionalism. Nevertheless, all contractual arrangements are strictly between the customer and the crew you ultimately select. Because this website is not part of any transaction, it accepts no liability for same.
Customers should be prepared to provide candidate crew with a full description of vessel, copies of ownership and registration credentials, and insurance status, including naming of any selected crew as "additional named insured(s)" on the vessel policy. Typically this last can be accomplished at no additional cost to the owner. It will also be necessary to permit selected crew to access vessel to verify Coast Guard equipment compliance and seaworthiness. If the vessel is not seaworthy, the crew may refuse to take it to sea. If the vessel becomes unseaworthy at any point along the route, the contracted crew may cease all vessel movement at the first available port and return home at cost of the customer. International deliveries subject to crew-requested drug inspection by local law enforcement authorities.
